to multiply them we need to turn 2 5/6 into an improper fraction. to do this multiply 2 by 6 to get 12, then add that to 5 to get 17. 2 5/6 = 17/6

now we can multiply them. 3/10 * 17/6 = 51/60

simplify: 17/20
