[tex]a_{n}[/tex] = a + d(n - 1)  ; where a is the first term (a = 7), d is the difference (d = 4), and n is the term

[tex]a_{n}[/tex] = 7 + 4(n - 1)

  = 7 + 4n - 4

  = 4n + 3
