If you were doing the problem showed, you would use the formula a^2+b^2=c^2
You first label the sides. The hypotenuse is always form the right angle. You label it C. The other two sides need to be labeled a and b. Then you plug in the numbers and solve. This is an example of me solving it.
The answer is 26 if the picture cut it off.
