Inscribed shapes are shapes that can “fit” inside other shapes. For example, a circle can fit well into a square, while touching each of the squared 4 sides. A circumscribed shape is a shape that can “surround” a shape while touching it, for example a circle can also fit around the square while each of the square’s points are touching the circle.
