How was the rebellion in Spain different from that in Italy?

The new Spanish ruler seized power without popular support from citizens. Spain was not in economic or social turmoil  when the rebellion occurred. The Spanish rebellion did not result in an authoritarian government. Spain's military leaders did not fully support the new Spanish ruler.
