First find what the % of the girls are by dividing the 13 girl number by the 27 classmate number. which is 48% (rounded) then the rest will be boys.  100% - 48% (girls) = 52% Boys.

Take the total of classmates (27) subtract girls (13) there are 14 boys.  Then find the % of boys in the class this way.  14 boy number divided by the 27 classmates.  52% (rounded).
