Divide the number of times painted in the time it took.

To divide rewrite the numbers as improper fractions:

2 2/7 = 16/7

1 1/2 = 3/2

NoW set up the equation:

16/7 / 3/2

When you divide fractions flip the second number over and multiply:

16/7 x 2/3 = (16 x 2) / (7x3) = 32/21

Rewrite as a mikes number :

1 11/21 tiles per hour
