(-3, 1.5) or (-3, 3/2)

Explanation:

Formula for Midpoint = (x1 + x2/2, y1 + y2/2)

x1 = -5.5 and x2 = -0.5

-5.5 + -0.5 = -6/2 = -3

y1 = -6.1 and y2 = 9.1

-6.1 + 9.1 = 3/2 = 1.5 or 3/2
