Parliament refused to give the colonists representatives in the government so the thirteen colonies decided that they had to break away from Britain and start their own country due to being taxed without repersentation and further illustrated this in the declaration of independence which stated the tyranny they faced. in order to have a free market economy and have indivual rights they had no other choice
