2/3x - 5 = 13
i know that the answer is x = 27 but i dont understand how.

2/3x-5 = 13

First add 5 on both sides.

2/3x = 18

Now multiply 2/3 on both sides.

x = 12

Woops! It seems you made a mistake. X is not 27, but it is 12.
