Answer:

The fractions are not equivalent. If you cross multiply, 65 x 4 = 260 and 13 x 4 = 52. 260 > 52.

They’re not equivalent, since the denominator is the same all you have to do is pay attention to the numerator. If the numerator is different than the are not equivalent, if the numerator is the same they are equivalent. This only works if the denominator is the same.
