First of all, you have to calculate slope of that,

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = (2-0)/(1-(-1)) = 2/2 = 1

Equation would be y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-2 = 1(x-1)

y-2 = x-1

y = x+1 .... it is the final equation
