Fred only has $20 for his Uber ride to his sister’s house. Uber charges a one time fee of $5 and then $2.50 per mile. What is the maximum number of miles Fred can be from his sister’s house in order to be able to afford to ride in an Uber?

$20-$5=$15
$15/$2.50= 6

So he can go 6 miles after he pays the $5 fee
