Note that [tex]\displaystyle \Big (\frac{9}{4} \Big )^{1/2}[/tex] is the same as [tex]\sqrt{\frac{9}{4}}=\frac{\sqrt{9}}{\sqrt{4}}=\frac{3}{2}[/tex].
