Can someone explain to me why e^ln 7 is equal to 7? ...?

There is a law in logarithm and exponentials where b^log_b(x) = x. Well, ln(x) = log_e(x). Then, rewriting the equation

e^ln(7)
= e^log_e(7). Applying the law,
= 7
