The length of a rectangle is three times its width. It the perimeter of the rectangle is 96m,  find the length and breadth of the rectangle ​

Let the width, w = x m

So, according to the Question,

The length, l = 3x m

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (l + w) m

Perimeter of the rectangle = 96 m

It's equation will be,

2 (3x + x) m = 96 m

or, 4x m = 96/2 m

or, 4x m = 48 m

or, x m = 48/4 m

or, x m = 12 m

Therefore, the width and the length of the rectangle is 12 m and 3(12) m = 36 m respectively.
