Estrogen is a hormone that allows the progression of an egg, into the fallopian tubes and stick to the walls of the uterus. This hormone also helps expel the egg and extra tissue to allow room for the next egg. Estrogen is a key hormone for a woman's development, as it is what begins the process of puberty
