Prokaryotic:

  • 1-10 microns smaller cell type (very small)
  • no major organelles (when you hear it has organelles, think eukaryotes almost every time)
  • simple (much simpler than eukaryotes because prokaryotes are usually a single cell)

Eukaryotic:

  • 10-100 microns; larger cell type (definetely larger than prokaryotes because they have more complicated organelles to make room for inside)
  • complex (can do a lot more than prokaryotes can)
  • major organelles (huge difference)

Both:

  • cell membrane (both have this for a cell border)
  • cytoplasm (it's like a liquid to hold everything, both have it)
  • nucleic acid (EVERYTHING ALIVE USES DNA, and that's what NA stands for)
  • ribosome (this is used to make proteins. They both do this)
