You might think so, and they might do well at first, but this would not last long. The issue is with Communism in practice vs the idea of it on paper. All known examples of Communism in practice that we know of, have gone incredibly corrupt pretty quickly after it has been put in place. With that being said, it wouldn't be long before a person with communal beliefs would realize that something is wrong, and they would not do as well as originally thought.
