y = 2x + 6...so sub in 2x + 6 for y in the other equation

2x - y = 2
2x - (2x + 6) = 2
2x - 2x - 6 = 2
2x - 2x = 2 + 6
0 = 8.....incorrect.....so if I am understanding ur question correctly, then there is no solutions for this problem
