Both WW1 and WW2 used submarine warfare and Naval blockades. Examples: sinking of the Lusitania and Pearl Harbor ( you could also talk about how Germany would torpedo any ships that came into its waters, ie unrestricted submarine warfare)
You could also talk about the concept of total war and how everyone was involved ( I think I’m not 100% sure it happened during both wars)
