Quotients of two powers

We have that in a quotient of two powers with the same base the exponent of the result is the substraction between exponents.

In this case, we have that:

[tex]\frac{4^3}{4^2}[/tex]

Since the base is 4, we can substract the exponents:

[tex]\frac{4^3}{4^2}=4^{3-2}=4^1=4[/tex]

Answer = 4
