2x=y+8
y=2x-8
to graph an equation you need to find the x and y intercepts 
to find the x intercept let y=0
0=2x-8
2x=8
x=8/2
x=4
to find the y intercept let x=0
y=2(0)-8
y=-8
on the graph put a dot on the x axis on 4 and on the y axis on -8 and draw a straight line
