A refrigerator has a volume given by the trinomial y^3 + 5y^2 – 14y. What are the possible dimensions of the refrigerator? Use factoring.

y^3+5y^2-14y

y(y^2+5y-14)

y(y^2+7y-2y-14)

y(y(y+7)-2(y+7))

y(y-2)(y+7)

So there are infinite solutions with the only restriction being that y>2 as V>0
