The movie theater which was the site of the 2012 shooting is located at the Town Center of Aurora shopping mall, at 14300 E. Alameda Avenue in Aurora, Colorado. The massacre happened during the midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, when a shooter came into the Century 16 cinema and killed 12 people, while 70 were injured.
