Hi! The two main types of fermentation would have to be alcoholic and lactic acid fermentation! (:
The difference between them both is that alcoholic fermentation converts sugars (sugars like sucrose) into carbon and ethanol!
Then here we are leading up to lactic acid and basically that converts six carbon sugars into cellular energy and the metabolite lactate!
