When he was little he used to live in a one room log cabin with his family. When he was only 9 years old his mother died. Later, in life Abe said he owed everything to his mother. Also, soon after his mother died his father remarried and Abe got very close to her treating her like his mother.
Abraham Lincoln was an incredibly complicated character, but one of the most important elements of his personality was his depression, another was his integrity. hope this works too
