The "biological clock" of an organism is referred to as the circadian rhythm and it s a 24 hour cycle of the physiological processes taking place in that organism. This cycle affects the breathing and eating patterns of people, and is affected by external cues such as temperature and sunlight. Therefore, if someone's circadian rhythm is disrupted due to working rotating shifts or because of traveling, then it may be reset by exposure to bright sunlight while working.
