Is there a way to determine whether or not a reagents is still acceptable?

The reagents must be acceptable for use and their chemical safety must be checked and maintained. 
Before a chemical or reagent is used for any reason the MSDS must be consulted. MSDS stands for Materials Safety Data Sheets. These sheets give information about the chemical and are produced by the companies that manufacture them.
