negative times negative=positive
so produt will be positive

also remember
[tex](\frac{a}{b})(\frac{c}{d})=\frac{ac}{bd}[/tex]
where ac means a times c and bd means b times d
so

[tex](\frac{-4}{9})(\frac{-5}{8})=\frac{(-4)(-5)}{(9)(8)}=\frac{20}{72}=[/tex]
[tex]\frac{10}{36}=\frac{5}{18}[/tex]
