pick 2 points on ur line...doesn't matter which points, but it is easier if they are whole numbers

slope formula : (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
(-2,-5)....x1 = -2 and y1 = -5
(6,5).....x2= 6 and y2 = 5
now we sub and solve
slope = (5 - (-5) / (6 - (-2) = (5 + 5) / (6 + 2) = 10/8 reduces to 5/4 <=
