8) Parallel means it has the same slope. So, set this up in y = mx +b

y = 7x + b

Because we need (5,8) to be an intersections, lets substitute these values in.

8 = 7(5) + b
8 = 35 + b
-27 = b

Now that we know the y-intercept, lets make our equation.

y = 7x - 27
