Hello there!

You have to do PEMDAS to solve this problem

Parentheses
Exponents
Multiplication
Division
Addition
Subtraction

We're doing: addition, parentheses , and multiplication!

So, 8(2) = 16, right?

Problem becomes: 4 + (16) - 3 + 5

4 + 16 = 20

Problem becomes: 20 - 3 + 5

20 - 3 = 17

17 + 5 = 22

So, therefore your answer would be: 22

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
