Solve quadratic equations using completing the square then write in vertex form

Assuming you are given a standard form equation, you should convert it to vertex format. If you are given root equation form, you would have to convert to standard form. 

Assuming you have; 

ax²+bx+c=y
a(x²+b/ax)+c=y 
a(x²+b/ax+(b/2a)²-(b/2a)²)+c=y 
a(x²+b/ax+(b/2a)²)+c-a(b/2a)²=y
a(x+b/2a)²+c-a(b/2a)²=y
