The two numbers are a and b.

Because their sum is 0, therefore
a + b = 0         (1)
Because their difference is 2, therefore
a - b = 2          (2)

Add (1) and (2).
a + b + (a - b) = 0 + 2
2a = 2
a = 1
From (1), obtain
1 + b = 0
b = -1

Answer:
a = 1
b = -1
