What is the area of the triangle whose vertices are (0,0), (3,0) and (0,4)?

Answer: 6

Since one of the points is at the origin, then you can take the number point on the x axis and multiply it by the point on the y axis, and you get 12. To find the area of a triangle, you must use base x height divided by 2. Divide 12 by 2 to get 6.
