Furosemide is a drug commonly used for the treatment of fluid build-up caused by liver scarring, heart failure or kidney disease and it can also be used for the treatment of high blood pressure. Furosemide act by inhibiting the luminal Na-K-Cl co-transporter in the thick limb of the loop of Henle by binding to the chloride transport channel.
