x²+10x=18
Complete the square. Remember to balance the equation by adding the same constants to each side
(x²+10x+25)=18+25

Rewrite as perfect squares

(x+5)²=43
x+5=(+/-)√43
x=√43-5------> 1.56
x=-√43-5-----> -11.56
