Does the equation below define a linear function? y = 3/x, when x ≠ 0

we know that

Linear function:

A linear function is a function whose graph is a straight line, that is a polynomial function of degree at most one

For exp: [tex] y=mx+b [/tex]

Here , we are given

[tex] y=\frac{3}{x} [/tex]

we can see that

x is in denominator

so, this can not be linear function........Answer
